Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to reveal the relationship between emotional labor behavior and subjective well-being (SWB) levels of high school teachers. MethodThe research is in relational screening model. The data of the study were obtained from a study group consisting of 283 teachers working in high schools in the city center of Kastamonu. In the research, personal information form. Emotional Labor Scale (Kiral. 2016) and SWB Scale were used to obtain data. In addition to descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis were performed to analyze the data. Findings: Among the sub-dimensionsof emotional labor scale, the sub-dimension that teachers participated most was surface acting, and the sub-dimension that the teachers participated least was deep acting. In addition, there was a significant positive correlation between teachers' emotional labor and SWB levels. Implications for Research and Practice:Carrying out a research which reveals the relationship between high school teachers' emotional labor levels and job performance was considered to be beneficial.
