Abstract

The tomb chambers under tumuli with woodwork-roof imitating decoration were supposed to evoke the impression of a house. This paper will focus on tumuli tombs in Lydia and Phrygia decorated with architectural imagery and will attempt to provide some concrete details regarding the links between tombs and houses.
