Abstract

In this study, a control system based on neutrosophic logic is presented for field-oriented control (FOC) based speed control of brushless direct current motor (BLDC). Neutrosophic fuzzy logic controller (NFLC) was created with a fuzzy inference system in Matlab. In addition, to realize speed control of BLDC motor in Simulink environment, NFLC block diagram was created and compared with proportional integral (PI) control. The simulation results show that the BLDC motor speed is successfully and efficiently controlled by a neutrosophic fuzzy logic controller, giving better results than PI controller with respect to steady state error and settling time.
