Özet
Background and Purpose:The scale was developed to assess the attitudes of young adults aged 18–25 years toward sexual health.Method:The scale was methodologically developed based on the instrument development guidelines proposed by Robert F. DeVellis. The sample consisted of 721 young individuals in Turkey. Results:In the exploratory factor analysis, a scale with seven subdimensions explained 56.29% of the total variance was obtained. The confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated the scale had acceptable fit indices (χ² statistic divided by the degrees of freedom = 2.553, root-mean-square error of approximation = .066). The total Cronbach’s α value of the scale was determined to be .94.Conclusion:The analyses conducted demonstrated that the scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool for determining young adults’ attitudes toward sexual health.
