Web of Science New Antibacterial 1,3,4-Thiadiazole Derivatives With Pyridine Moiety(2024.01.01) Sener, N.; Aldwib, A.E.O.1,3,4-Thiadiazole compounds were synthesized using pyridine carboxylic acid derivatives and thiosemicarbazide derivatives. The molecular structures of the resulting compounds were characterized by spectroscopic methods such as ATR-FTIR, 1H-NMR, and elemental analysis. Its compounds were also examined for their antibacterial properties against some strains of bacteria. Five synthesized compounds showed varying antibacterial effects on Escherichia coli, Salmonella kentucky, Bacillus substilis and Klebsiella pneumoniae. This result revealed that some of the resulting compounds could be antibacterial agents.Web of Science Preparation and Characterization of Pyridin-2-amine Functionalized Thiadiazole-Embedded Polymer Inclusion Membrane and Utilization of Its Heavy Metal Transport Efficiency(2024.01.01) Cicek, M.; Cay, S.; Engin, M.S.; Sener, N.; Aldwib, A.E.O.; Gür, M.3-[5-(Cycloheximino)-4,5-dihydro-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl]pyridine-2-amine was synthesized and used to make a novel pyrazole derivative embedded polymer inclusion membrane (Py@PIM). The surface and structure morphology of Py@PIM was detected using thermogravimetric analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Donnan dialysis system was also used to assess the transport efficacy of Py@PIM towards 5 heavy metals (Co, Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb). The results show that according to the kinetic coefficient, the order is Pb > Ni > Co > Cd > Cu. Similar kinetic order was also observed in multiple cation experiments, in experiments where all cations were mixed in a single cell.Web of Science Preparation and Characterization of Pyridin-2-amine Functionalized Thiadiazole-Embedded Polymer Inclusion Membrane and Utilization of Its Heavy Metal Transport Efficiency (vol 94, pg 2038, 2024)(2024.01.01) Cicek, M.; Cay, S.; Engin, M.S.; Sener, N.; Aldwib, A.E.O.; Kalkan, S.; Gür, M.
