| dc.description.abstract | Risk and crisis management enables healthcare professionals to provide treatment and care services in a safe environment. Crises are typically challenging situations that often create both material and spiritual adversities but also allow for the assessment of opportunities, can be managed by making use of strategic management plans, and are usually in exceedingly difficult circumstances (expected or unexpected). Healthcare services face numerous challenges every day. Therefore, integrated risk and crisis management within healthcare institutions should be conducted through different processes. A review of the literature on risk and crisis management reveals numerous studies covering the recent COVID-19 pandemic period. However, beyond the COVID-19 crisis, healthcare professionals may face various other risks and crises. Thus, it is very important to carry out studies on scenarios such as natural disasters, economic crises, migration, and others from this perspective. | |
