Yalova Termal Kaplıcaları’nın Rekreasyon ve Turizm Amaçlı Kullanımının Ekonomik Değerinin Seyahat Maliyeti Yöntemi İle Tespit Edilmesi (Determination of the Economic Value of Recreational and Tourism Use Value of the Yalova Thermal Spring via Travel Cost Method)

Abstract

Turkish Abstract: Gunumuzde rekreasyon ve turizm kaynaklarinda surdurulebilirligin saglanabilmesi icin akilci planlama ve yonetim calismalari dogrultusunda alternatifler gelistirilmektedir. Bu alternatifler ve planlama-yonetim yaklasimlari alanin ozelliklerine, ekonomik degerine ve kullanici tercihlerine gore belirlenmektedir. Alan kullanim tiplerinin, degisimlerin, planlama ve yonetim yaklasimlarinin alana kattigi degeri belirlemek bu acidan buyuk onem tasimaktadir. Yalova Termal Kaplicalari dogal kaynaklariyla, rekreasyon ve turizm etkinliklerinin gerceklestirilebilecegi ayricalikli potansiyel alanlardan birisidir. Bu makale; arastirma alani olarak secilen Yalova Termal Kaplicalari’ndan, rekreasyon ve turizm amaclariyla yararlanmanin seyahat maliyeti yontemi ile ekonomik degerinin belirlenmesi, elde edilen yararlanma degerlerinin yapilan yatirim tutarlariyla karsilastirilmasi amaciyla yapilmistir. Soz konusu amaclari gerceklestirmek icin; oncelikle izlenen yonteme bagli olarak Yalova Termal Kaplicalari’nda 154 anket uygulamasi gerceklestirilmis ve SPSS 15.0 programina veriler girilerek calismanin veri tabani olusturulmustur. Daha sonra, Seyahat Maliyet Yontemi icin gerekli istatistiksel analizler yapilmis ve rekreasyonel ve turizm amacli kullanim degeri belirlenmistir. Rekreasyon ve turizm taleplerini etkileyen degiskenler tespit edilmis, ayrica Yalova Termal Kaplicalari’na gelen ziyaretcilerin sosyo-ekonomik, kulturel ve demografik ozellikleri arasindaki farklar da irdelenmistir. Yapilan analizler sonunda; arastirma konusu Yalova Termal Kaplicalari icin, Seyahat Maliyeti Yontemine gore, 1.239.014.400 TL/yil tuketici ranti degeri tespit edilmistir. English Abstract: Nowadays, for supplying the sustainability in recreation and tourism issues, alternative tourism and recreation types were developed in the rational land use planning concept. These alternatives and planningmanaging approaches derived from land properties, economic value of the area and user preferences. In this respect, determining the use value due to land use alternatives, changes, planning-managing approaches is quite important. The Yalova Termal Spring with its natural values is one of the distinguished potential areas where recreation and tourism activities can be carried out. Due to the features of the Yalova Termal Spring, a research has been undertaken with the aims of determining the recreational and tourism use value of Yalova Termal Spring, comparing use values with the total investment. 154 survey were conducted in the Yalova Termal Spring as part of the research. Then, the data was entered into the computer using SPSS 15.0 statistical program to create a database for the statistical analysis. After that, the recreational and tourism use values for the Yalova Termal Spring were calculated by doing necessary statistical analysis for Travel Cost Method. The effective variables on the recreational and tourism demands of the Yalova Termal Spring were determined. Lastly, socioeconomic, cultural and demographic differences between visitors were investigated. As a result of the study, according to Travel Cost Method the annual consumer surplus value 1.239.014.400 TL/year was estimated for Yalova Termal Spring.
